This project started in May 2025 after a discussion with like-minded researchers who supported Michelle's idea about capturing the stories of women who lead in emergency management, with a goal of sharing these with others in the field or interested in joining the field of EM practice.

May 2025: In our first month the idea and submission information has been sent to 50 global contacts of the Project Director. These contacts are either women practicing in EM or allies from within the sector. The plan is to to grow submissions organically through recommendation.
